DesignSpark PCB is the world's most powerful free of charge PCB design tool. Free from practical constraints on board size, pin counts, layers and output types, DesignSpark PCB can be used for schematic capture, PCB layout and generating manufacturing files.
Multi-page schematic designs are supported, gerber (extended) outputs allow the designer to choose who will manufacture their board.
Runs well (even on Windows 10 which is not officially supported). Could make it easier to set up own components such as connectors.
Hi, I'm trying to get familiar with DSPCB. Is very convenient for me to work on two monitors: one for the circuit diagram and another for the layout PCB. I couldn't achieve that with DSPCB. Any help should be highly appreciated.
Guest, I use DSPCB mainly on my laptop, but I helped a friend with two monitors to set it up as you describe. Set DSPCB as full screen and drag the edge across on to the second monitor. Then in DSPCB from the menubar select "Window" and "Tile vertically. Drag and resize the schema and PCB window on to the required monitor. Works best if both monitors are the same resolution, but it did work.
